Cream with Clover LLC ("Cream with Clover," "we," "us") raises AKC miniature long-haired dachshunds in La Grange, California. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.creamwithclover.com and our puppy placement process, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Adoption applications and contact forms: your name, email, phone number, mailing address, household and lifestyle details, and anything else you choose to tell us about the home you'd offer a puppy.
Purchase agreements: your name, address, phone, signature, and puppy details, collected when you sign through DocuSign.
Payments: deposits and balances are processed by Square. We receive the payment amount, your name, and limited transaction details. We do not see or store your full card number.
Newsletter: your email address and name if you sign up for our mailing list.
Messages: emails, texts, and calls you send us, including updates and photos of your puppy.

Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, Squarespace (our website host) and the analytics and advertising tools we use may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and approximate location. They do this through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies. We use Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics, and advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok.

How we use your information

To review applications, match puppies with families, and communicate with you about your puppy.
To prepare and keep purchase agreements, process payments, and keep business and tax records.
To honor our health guarantee, including keeping veterinary records you send us.
To send our newsletter, if you subscribed.
To understand how visitors use our website, improve it, and show our ads to people who may be interested in our puppies.
To comply with the law and protect our rights.

Photos and names on social media

We love sharing our puppies in their new homes. We only post a buyer's photos, name, or other identifying details on our website or social media with that buyer's permission. You can ask us to remove a post at any time by emailing us, and we'll take it down within a reasonable time.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only:

With service providers that help us run the business, including Squarespace (website and forms), Square (payments), DocuSign (contracts), Google (email, storage, and analytics), our newsletter provider, and our accountant. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
With advertising and analytics partners (Meta, TikTok, and Google) through cookies and pixels on our site, as described above. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See "Your choices" to opt out.
With veterinarians or registries when needed for your puppy's care, health guarantee, or AKC registration.
When required by law, or to protect our rights, our dogs, or others.
If our business is transferred, as part of that transfer.

Your choices

Newsletter: use the "unsubscribe" link in any email, or email us.
Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also use Google's Ads Settings, Meta's ad preferences, and TikTok's ad settings, or the industry opt-out at optout.aboutads.info. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a request to opt out of ad-related sharing where our tools support it.
Do Not Track: our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, other than GPC as described above.
Access, correction, and deletion: you may ask what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may need to keep certain records, such as signed contracts, payment and tax records, and health guarantee files, as long as the law or our legitimate business needs require.

California residents

If you live in California, you may have rights under California privacy laws, including the right to know, correct, and delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. California's "Shine the Light" law also lets you ask about disclosures to third parties for their own direct marketing; we do not make those disclosures.

How long we keep information

We keep applications for as long as they're useful for placing a puppy, and buyer records (contracts, payments, and health records) for as long as needed for our guarantee, legal, and tax obligations, generally at least seven years. We delete or de-identify information we no longer need.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, and we rely on established providers such as Square and DocuSign for payments and signatures. No method of storing or sending information online is completely secure.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Puppy buyers must be at least 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
